About Jared
My name is Jared and I love music more than anything ever forever (except my mum). I've been a professional musician since I was 14 years old, leaving me with nearly 12 years of experience. I've done hundreds of gigs ranging from pub duos to high-level tribute acts to original material. From Irish Folk to Death Metal there's not a lot I haven't covered. I have produced several records for local artists that have challenged and expanded my musical experience, as well as my team-building and leadership. I've been teaching primarily guitar for 5 years to all variety of students, from ages 4-60 and from all variety of backgrounds. Loving every kind of music, I'm able and keen to help you achieve any goal you can imagine. I have a Bachelor of Music from JMC Academy and am currently studying a Masters of Secondary Teaching at Griffith University. I play guitar (electric/acoustic/classical), voice, bass, 5 string banjo, tenor banjo, keys/piano, mandolin, ukulele, oud, drums and am a prolific songwriter - all of which I can teach.

My lessons are a fun and friendly guide to how to effectively practise your instrument, while learning not only techniques specific to our instrument, but general concepts of music as well. All styles are welcome. The first thing to happen is that you're going to find yourself playing something that sounds like music. All the tools are already right there with you, we just get to work together to find the right way to bring the tunes out of you. Whether you want to be the ultimate shredder or just play some sweet songs for your mum, I have the musical knowledge, teaching approach and super funny jokes to get us there.
