About Mary
I have been tutoring professionally for 5 years, most recently online. I am also a Yoga and movement teacher and have previous worked in health and social care.
I am fascinated by language and etymology, how language develops and how words come into being. I also speak French, Italian and am learning Portuguese and so love to find the similarities and connections between languages.

I treat each student as an individual - understanding that we all learn in different ways and no two students are the same. We will work at your pace, to you knowledge base and capacity.
I love the subject I teach and wish to inspire others to fall in love with language too.
Prior to teaching online I was teaching in Alternative provision schools to students with special educational needs aged 12 y-16 years. I have also tutored privately for students at GCSE and A-Level. Each lesson is 45mins - 1hour.
