About Annie
I have been in love with math since I was in elementary school, and have discovered over the years that my favorite way to share this passion is through private tutoring. I started private tutoring through a community college in 2018, and continued to tutor on the side while I completed a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics at Miami University. I have found no more fulfilling moments on a job than seeing a student reach a lightbulb moment, and grasp a topic that they never thought they could. There is nothing better than seeing my students succeed with increased grades and maybe even a new joy for math!

My lessons are for anyone from Elementary to Calculus 3. Our first lesson will consist of reviewing current class material, such as a recent quiz or homework assignment that was challenging. During this review, I will determine a set of problems to build the student’s knowledge and confidence, starting with simpler, foundational problems. My primary goal during tutoring sessions is to get the students to think for themselves, not just follow along with a lesson in front of them. I do this through thought-provoking questions, and giving space for a student to think and answer on their own.

I'm so grateful for Annie! I was lucky enough to have her as my tutor for calculus I in college, she was great at breaking things down and making hard concepts not so hard! Would totally recommend her as a tutor for anyone struggling with math:)
Annie was a great math tutor!! She tutored me in business calculus and she was awesome! She really took her time and explained the curriculum in depth by trying to simplify each concept so I was able to comprehend and remember the information.
