About Morgan

I trained at RADA and graduated in 2009. I've worked extensively in TV, Film and Theatre. I teach alongside my acting career and absolutely love working with students of all ages exploring text, character, performance, technique and all the other brilliant places that acting takes us. I'm happy to work with contemporary or classical text and I hope to develop you personally so you feel a sense of growth, empowerment and inspiration.

I am currently filming The Rapture for the BBC and finished work on Under Salt Marsh for Sky TV with Claire Oakley directing in early 2025.

I also played Tate in How to Fight Loneliness at the Park Theatre in April and May 2025.

My film work includes Kingsman The Secret Service, Napoleon, Small City, Chicken, A Little Chaos, The Limehouse Golem, Suffragette and Profile.

My TV work includes Noughts and Crosses [BBC], The Hour [BBC], A Very English Scandal [BBC], Silent Witness [BBC], Year of the Rabbit [Channel 4], Bulletproof [Sky TV] and Spent [BBC].

I've performed in plays at The National Theatre, The Lyric Hammersmith and The Almeida.

I started my own theatre company, The Base, in 2023 with a fellow RADA graduate, Oliver Bennett. We produce theatrical events and use the company to explore the intersection with philosophy, history and drama. We also run an academy and we are building a dynamic community of actors, writers and thinkers.

I'd love to share some of my expertise with you and help you understand the industry further.

I want to work with actors to develop them in all areas we can. The craft of being an actor is a multi-disciplinary challenge. You have to give everything you have to the work and then let it breathe. There isn't one method that works for everyone, we will draw upon all the classic approaches but ultimately you need to find what works for you through lots of hard work and lots of fun. I'm interested in understanding you as a unique person and as a unique creative and to helping you along the path that is right for you. I have very good knowledge of what it takes to get into drama schools and how the industry actually works. It is important for actors to build their own systems and methods to prepare and execute their work. I will help you with this. We will draw upon many of the key practitioners, character work, text work, psychology, body, voice, breath and all the other good stuff. I am keen to help actors prepare and strategise for drama school auditions or professionals who want to develop themselves and their craft further. I look forward to working with you and seeing what we can achieve.

  • When did you start practicing? How did this passion find you?

I discovered my love for this craft when I was 15. I had an amazing teacher in my secondary school in North London and I became obsessed with this peculiar art form. I found that I could express myself in ways I couldn't elsewhere. I felt alive and free while exploring the emotions and experiences of characters I would play. I found the simple thrill of being someone else so exciting and after my GCSEs I began to orientate my entire life towards a career in the dramatic arts. I began dedicated study of all the plays, practitioners and the great actors and directors in film.
  • Which artists or works affect you the most?

I started with Marlon Brando's work like most actors do and I was in awe of this enigmatic man. He had charisma and naturalism on screen that I hadn't seen anywhere else. I spent years trying to work out how he did it! As I've grown older my love and interest rests more in the great writers and characters they have created in Film, TV and Theatre. I could study Shakespeare's work for an eternity. I find Chekhov so rich and I love exploring the ideas of Konstantin Stanislavski. I think actors can learn almost everything they need to know about naturalistic acting through working on Chekhov and Stanislavski.

I love work that is honest, unique and brave.
  • What are the qualities and skill required to succeed in this area?

Perseverance and infinite resilience. Character analysis and an ability to decipher text and the psychology that lies beneath the words. An ability to imagine worlds and live in them. You must make choices in your character and play with whoever they may be. A sense of play is needed. Play with text, play with thought, play with emotion... Allow yourself to believe.
  • What is the most valuable advice you can give to help someone stay focused on creative projects?

It is an incredibly hard world to crack and it takes utter dedication to even begin to have a chance. The truth is, that over the years I have seen the types that turn up and give everything everywhere wherever they go and they get the chances they deserve. There are some people who will succeed on the back of certain shallow qualities and little work but most actors won't and the attitude should be one of complete determination. There is so much to do and so much to read. If you are making excuses, which we all love doing from time to time, you are distracting yourself from something productive you could be doing instead. Is there a play you haven't read? Is there a film you haven't watched? Is there a book you haven't studied? The answer is always, yes.
  • How would you describe your passion; how does it make you feel?

I love helping actors improve and sharing my life's work with them. I am a working actor and have on-the-ground experience right now. I love equipping actors with the mindset that is required to make a success of who they are. It feels great to watch people unlocking their potential in front of you. It feels wonderful to see actors fall in love with history, philosophy and psychology as we work our way through brilliant scripts.
  • What creative achievements are you particularly proud of?

I'm very proud of some of the films I've done. I like Chicken, Small City, Kingsman and many others. It is hard to pick. I really enjoyed being directed by an old friend, Beru Tessema, in a short film called Lions. I launched my own theatre company in 2023 with a friend and I'm very proud of all that we've accomplished so far and there is much more to come!
  • Have you ever been surprised by a student; by their ability or quick progression?

I'm always surprised my students. I love watching them work. I have seen actors perform Hamlet monologues in my living room that are as good as anything you'll see anywhere! I learn so much from teaching and I'm often humbled by how brilliant students are in many different areas.
  • Being a Superprof is an art! What is your secret?

I just dedicate myself to whoever it is I am working with. I have a passion for acting and I love sharing this with my students.

It is a hard profession to navigate but if you study the great writers and great roles your life will be deeply enriched.
