About Maycee
I am a singer songwriter from France. I started to play the piano when I was 7. I have studied the piano at the Conservatory for 8 years, and then I continued with private lessons, that I found more flexible, for 5 years. I have started songwriting when I was 12 and I started to write songs for other artists 3 years ago. I am currently producing my own EP.

My desire to teach music came when I was taking lessons. I realised that something positive could be made out of these difficulties I had while learning : I could help other people who would face the same difficulties, with my own method, much more flexible than the one I have been taught. To me, teaching the piano is not only about learning how to play a song, but it's also about sharing my passion and experience for music, and a strong work ethic. All of that without forgetting that music is a pleasure, that's why I will always alternate between songs to work on the technique and songs that the student will have chosen.
I am constantly searching for new methods to help my students improve faster. My method is not the same depending on the person I have in front of me : I am convinced that we all have different needs and issues, that's why a method that will work for one student will not necessarily work for another one. That's why I always listen to my students and talk to them, in order to find the best method for them. I will give you a personalised daily program of exercises to follow, because I know that being left on your own between two lessons is not easy, especially for a beginner. The lesson usually begins with a technical work, depending on the song that we're working on at the moment, and then we work on the song itself. For the choice of the songs, I am opened to any genre whether it's classical or more contemporary (even pop songs and film soundtracks are welcome). I can also give songwriting lessons for those who might be interested.
