About Larisa
As an ex-ballerina and ballet teacher I have had the opportunity to work with world-famed teachers and dancers, experimenting with different methodologies and approaches to classical ballet. I am hoping to offer my students the very best of my knowledge while also encouraging each and every one of them to acknowledge and to fully comprehend the unlimited potential and beauty that can be expressed through one of the most complex and intricate forms of art.

My classes are influenced by the core methodology of the Vaganova method, which begins by setting a carefully laid out foundation of the key concepts which will allow students to execute each individual step properly, but also in combinations of the easiest to the most complex steps. From the dominion of the basic stance to the mastery of alignments and coordination, my goal remains to teach each individual to move in a dynamic and natural way, while linking steps together kinesthetically and rhythmically, using the effort of the body as economically as possible. I am most confident that these core principles apply to all levels and ages of dancers, and are of core essence in order to successfully allow one to perform any series of exercises or selection of repertoire with the utmost gratefulness and artistry while maintaining the poise and beauty of a precise and clean technique mastery.

Perfect! Larisa has a deep knowledge of Russian ballet and taught the students with great care and attention. She showed genuine interest in each student and created a very supportive learning environment. It was an extremely satisfying and rewarding class.
