About Suhani
I graduated from the University of California, Berkeley with a degree in Computer Science and Business, where I built a strong foundation in math, logic, and problem-solving. While at Berkeley, I served on course staff for computer science classes, supporting students in understanding programming, algorithms, and data structures. This experience taught me how to explain difficult concepts clearly, adapt to different learning styles, and create a supportive learning environment. Beyond my academic background, I specialize in SAT preparation, particularly Math and Grammar. I earned a perfect score on both of these sections and use that experience to guide students not only through the content but also through effective test-taking strategies. I’ve worked with middle school through college students in both one-on-one and small group settings. My approach is interactive and student-centered: I break down problems step by step, connect abstract concepts to real-world examples, and adjust methods depending on whether a student learns best through practice drills, visual aids, or guided discussion. My goal is to make sessions engaging and efficient so students walk away with stronger skills, higher scores, and more confidence in their own abilities.

My tutoring style is interactive and tailored to each student. I focus on guiding students through problem-solving step by step, using practice problems, visual aids, and real-world examples to make concepts stick. A typical lesson starts with reviewing questions, then targeted practice, and ends with a short recap where the student explains a concept back to me. I work with the student to create a guided plan to help them succeed. I can also provide practice problem sets for them to complete on their own.
