About Clare
When I was learning French, I focused on reading books I knew well that had been translated into French. I also spent a few summers working on organic farms in France to improve my speaking and listening. The thing that helped me the most in early days was listening to French music on repeat. I want to help you find something that will make your French learning journey fun and motivating.

I like to tailor my lessons to each learner, focusing on the tenses they are least familiar with. Each of my lessons starts and ends with a conversation in French to recap the vocabulary that was covered in the previous session. I am happy to use teaching materials provided by the student's school or to provide my own teaching materials.
