About Mandy
My name is Mandy and I am a Master of Teaching (Secondary) student at the University of Melbourne. I am passionate about helping students succeed by making learning clear, supportive, and enjoyable. With a background in Mathematics and Accounting, and experience tutoring and teaching in schools, I understand the challenges students face and how to guide them step by step. I also teach Mandarin across all year levels, encouraging students to build confidence in both language and culture. I believe every student can achieve more when they feel supported and inspired.

I am currently completing a Master of Teaching (Secondary) at the University of Melbourne, specialising in Mathematics and Accounting. I hold a Bachelor of Science from the University of Sydney and have experience in auditing, financial analysis, and classroom teaching through school placements. My tutoring is informed by both academic knowledge and practical teaching experience.
I create a supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and exploring new ideas. I break down complex concepts into smaller, more manageable steps and use clear explanations, worked examples and questioning to check understanding. I also encourage active participation through problem-solving and discussion so students build both confidence and independence.
