About Joe
My name is Joe Brotherton, I am a theoretical physics graduate from the University of York where I graduated with first class honours and won the Founders Prize for best results in my year. I then went on to achieve a master's degree in nuclear fusion. I have almost 5 years tutoring experience throughout my degree and have tutored several GCSE syllabuses including AQA, OCR and Edexcel. I also have experience tutoring A-Level AQA and OCR physics. I love teaching as it offers me the ability to mentor students who are going through the same struggles many face in their academic career. I relish the chance to make a difference in a student's life and help on their path.

My lessons are tailored to the specific needs of the student. Whether that is exam preparation, exam revision, support with general classroom learning and homework, or maths booster sessions, I support students in achieving their individual goals. I use an extensive selection of resources to make learning fun and accessible to all students, whatever their needs. I also offer a 15 minute free consultation prior to any tutoring sessions. I have the flexibility of tutoring both at my own home, at the students' home or online lessons via Zoom.
