About Josh
I have been tutoring since I was a freshman in high school and have a plethora of educational experiences that will allow me to connect with students. Having an educational degree from the number 1 public university in the world allows me to have a superior knowledge base, but my experience with tutoring gives me a grounded understanding of how to help someone struggling with a difficult concept.

I am a firm believer that tutoring is not about covering the subject material (that’s what teachers are for) but rather to help change the fundamental structure of how the student understands a subject. Physics students often try to memorize equations instead of understanding why those equations exist and math students remember formulas and step by steps instead of solving the problem itself. When students learn from this fundamental perspective properly (not like Common Core), their understanding of the subject is permanently changed and they are significantly more successful.

Perfect! Josh is an excellent tutor. He jumped in to tutor my daughter halfway through her term in Microbiology. Josh was able to asses what her understanding of the course was so far, and help her achieve her goals and bring up her final grade in the class. We are continuing forward with Josh because he is very knowledgeable in the Pre Med science courses my daughter is taking and he is a very patient and proficient tutor. Josh is an asset to any student.
Perfect! Josh is great. He is reliable, easy to communicate with, and very effective. My son's score in Physics went from a 60% on his first test to 100% on his second. I'm very glad I found Josh here!

Josh clearly has a lot of experience with science classes and also teaching. He was able to help me understand the stuff I was supposed to learn before he started tutoring me and prepare me for the stuff ahead so I was able to get way better test scores. He breaks everything down to make things that are so hard into small, easy problems which makes it way easier to achieve with.
