I get great satisfaction from helping people and solving problems. This means that I have a combination of patience and persistence that enables me to help nearly any student overcome their challenges.
One of my goals as a tutor is to help my student(s) get to the point where they no longer need me. Not just because they have learned a specific topic, but also that they no longer need help learning the next one.

I believe in teaching through positive reinforcement and the Socratic method (asking questions). Successful tutoring should give the student three things: specific knowledge on the subject at hand, improved ability to learn new things, and justified confidence in their abilities.
Lessons are as long as they need to be, but generally not longer than an hour.
I have several years experience working as a 1-on-1 tutor. I mostly teach high school math and physics, but am willing to teach both younger and older students and am able to teach some university level subjects.
