Hi, my name is Gunel. I am a friendly, patient and enthusiastic English tutor with a strong passion for education and working with children and young people. I have several years of teaching experience and enjoy creating a comfortable and positive learning environment where students feel confident to communicate and develop their English skills.

**Teaching Techniques and Methodology**
I use a student-centred and communicative approach to English teaching, combining speaking, vocabulary, grammar, reading and writing activities according to each learner’s needs. I focus on helping students understand the logic of the English language rather than relying solely on memorisation. My lessons are interactive and practical, with real-life examples, guided practice and personalised feedback.
For exam preparation, I also teach students how to approach different question types, identify key information, recognise synonyms and paraphrases, and develop effective time-management and exam strategies. I adapt my teaching methods to the learner’s level, learning goals and individual strengths and areas for improvement.
Typical Length of a Lesson
Lessons are typically 50–60 minutes long. However, I can adapt the duration depending on the student’s age, level and learning objectives.
Qualifications and Experience
I have a Master’s degree in Education from the UK and several years of teaching experience in Azerbaijan, working with students in both English and Azerbaijani. I have experience teaching English to children and young people at different levels, including supporting students with school English and examination preparation.
My teaching experience includes working as a classroom teacher as well as providing individual English tutoring. This has helped me develop a flexible approach to working with learners with different abilities, learning styles and educational goals.
Who the Lessons Are For
My lessons are suitable for children and young people from beginner to advanced levels. I work with learners who want to:
• improve their general English
• develop speaking and communication skills
• strengthen grammar and vocabulary
• improve reading and writing
• prepare for school examinations
• prepare for English-language entrance or proficiency examinations
• build confidence in using English in everyday situations
I particularly enjoy working with young learners and adapting lessons to make English engaging, practical and accessible.
