About Foteini
I am a Greek graduate from University of Edinburgh with a master's degree in Late Antique, Islamic and Byzantine Studies. My thesis was about the evolution of the urban landscape of the early Byzantine Arcadia. I am fascinated about Byzantine history and I would like to share my passion and knowledge with others. I believe that Byzantine history is an important aspect of medieval history and the knowledge on it can offer a broader understanding of global history.

This course is addressed to those who want to learn more about the history of the eastern Roman Empire, but perhaps they might find the volume of information overwhelming. The course is designed for those who are history enthusiasts and want to take up history courses as a hobby and for those who are doing research on international studies and perhaps the knowledge on Byzantium is needed. Everyone is welcome! The lessons are covering topics such as diplomacy, numismatics, art and culture.
