About Courtney
Hi! My name is Courtney, and I am a recent UPEI graduate offering tutoring in math, biology, physics, and English. I am patient, supportive, and dedicated to helping students build confidence while improving their understanding of the material.
I have experience working with children and youth through teaching swimming lessons, where I learned how to explain things clearly, adapt to different learning styles, and create a positive and encouraging environment. I have also been a lifeguard for the past six years and hold Standard First Aid and CPR certification, which has strengthened my responsibility, communication skills, and ability to stay calm under pressure.
I always aim to be professional, approachable, and encouraging, and I want both students and parents to feel confident that they are working with someone who is dependable and genuinely cares about helping students succeed.

My tutoring approach is patient, supportive, and personalized to each student’s needs. I offer tutoring in math, biology, physics, and English for elementary, middle school, and some high school students. I focus on breaking concepts down clearly, using examples, guided practice, and simple explanations to help students build both understanding and confidence.
A typical lesson includes reviewing problem areas, working through examples together, and giving students the chance to practice with support. What sets me apart is my patience, strong communication skills, and experience teaching and working with children of different ages and abilities.
