About Clare
Mālō e lelei everyone,
My name is Clare Tutuila. I am a recent graduate with a degree in Education and I am currently completing my Master’s in Education, majoring in Pacific Education. I am also a proud mom to two beautiful children, an infant and a toddler.
I have a strong passion for learning and for education policy, particularly policies that impact Pacific and Māori learners. I am passionate about ensuring our young people have access to learning that reflects who they are and where they come from.
The reason I am offering tutoring is to provide an affordable service for Pacific and Māori students so they can gain the most from their education. My lessons incorporate Pacific and Māori-based learning approaches, helping students strengthen their knowledge, confidence, and academic skills in a culturally supportive environment.

Sessions are guided by culturally responsive teaching approaches, incorporating Pacific and Māori perspectives, values, and learning styles to create a supportive and relatable environment for students.
NCEA support is also available, including help with understanding assessments, improving writing skills, and preparing for internal and external exams.
Lessons are available 1:1 or in small groups, either online (Zoom) or in person.
