About Joshua
I am a chemist and educator with a Master of Science in Chemistry from Virginia Tech and a B.Sc. in Chemistry from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology. I have more than four years of experience teaching chemistry at three universities, including North Carolina State University and Virginia Tech, where I led undergraduate laboratory sections, held office hours, and graded student work. My research in organic and physical chemistry has resulted in six peer-reviewed publications and presentations at national conferences. Having taught students in both Ghana and the United States, I am patient, reliable, and skilled at adapting to each student's background and pace. I take every student's goals seriously and am committed to helping you succeed.

I can explain sophisticated chemistry concepts in simple, clear language that makes sense to you. I hold an M.S. in Chemistry from Virginia Tech and have over four years of experience teaching chemistry at universities in the U.S. and Ghana. My lessons cover general, organic, and physical chemistry for high school, college, and pre-med or nursing students. Each lesson starts by finding out where you are and what you need, whether that's homework help, exam preparation, or a deeper understanding of a topic. I use worked problems, diagrams, and 3D molecular models so you can see what is happening, not just memorize it. My goal is for you to leave every lesson more confident and able to solve problems on your own.
