About Amanda
I completed the IB diploma this year and took Chinese as a Higher Level subject with an absolute passion for the language. I have been giving private and customised lessons to high school students with their oral skills, accent reduction and writing skills in mandarin for the past two years.

For me, it's all about understanding each student's needs and making my lessons as easy to follow as possible. I like to make my lessons customised, focusing on improving a few specific areas per lesson. Especially for students who aim to reduce their accent and improve comprehension skills, I look for patterns in their accents and gaps in their understanding so I can target areas and provide specific help for each of them. I usually assign tasks for the student to complete between the lessons to further consolidate their knowledge and skills.
