I firmly believe that education has the power to change lives. As an educator, I strive to do this with every lesson, assignment, and interaction. I take a student-centered approach to teaching. This gives students the agency that they deserve and allows them to develop the skills necessary to succeed in contemporary society. My passion for education and the subjects I teach set me apart from many other tutors. Furthermore, I come with a great deal of expertise. I graduated Magna cum laude from Illinois State University with a Bachelor's Degree in History/Social Science Education. I then obtained a Master's Degree in History from Roosevelt University. While obtaining this Master's Degree, I completed the requirements for the James Madison Memorial Fellowship Foundation, where I earned the designation of Teacher-Scholar of the U.S. Constitution. Finally, I completed the requirements of an ELL endorsement through Dominican University and am certified to teach English Language Learners from K-12 grade.
