About Stephen
I have been part of various creative writing networks throughout school and university, as well as graduating in Journalism and Creative Writing from Strathclyde University. I also studied English Literature at A-Level. Highly analytical, observant and strong attention to detail makes me a strong editor. I can read, correct, suggest edits and bounce ideas off for both academic and creative work.

Discussion and suggestion on presented work, giving advice on grammar, spelling, phrasing, style, structure, plot, academic style, analysis and any other part of your work. I can also be used as an idea sponge, allowing you to express your ideas and concepts, get feedback and suggestions. With any work, creative, academic, or otherwise, the writer can become personally attached. As such, my suggestions are purely suggestions and advice, and the relationship between myself and the writer must be communicative, open and straightforward. I will always advice, edit and suggest honestly and objectively, and you must be willing to listen to my criticism and advice. You may choose to adapt or use that advice, but you shouldn't take it personally.
General order of business will involve an initial meeting of 60 minutes, in which we will discuss your work, aims, style, influences and other manners of business, as well as take a brief look at some of your work. Further meetings will involve you sending your work to me at least 72 hours beforehand. I will read, review and make commentary on the work, and discuss this with you during our meetings.

Details
I will cover any travel costs under £6. Travel costs over this will be covered by writer/student.
Editing and review on works over 4000 words will require an additional surcharge of £2.50 per 2000 words above this limit (ie, a 6000 word piece would carry an additional £5).
An additional £5 charge if you send me work to review less than 24hrs before a meeting, although this is subject to negotiation. I will also send reminder emails if I have not received work.
