About Rowan
I graduated with a 2:1 in Liberal arts in 2022 after being diagnosed with ADHD in 2019. I share this to show that even with whatever is working against you, it is possible to succeed. Despite the lack of support I received throughout education, I realised a large part of my success in school was due not only the study techniques I used, but also the way I'd motivate myself. No one can teach you what to feel, but I can help you learn to love learning.
I tutored GSCE students during my A levels and found the incredible difference between each person on how they learnt. Getting to know their interests and relating it to the subject was the best way to not only develop understanding, but also interest in it.
I like to take an open and holistic approach to learning, connecting it with other areas of life so the subject means more than just being an exam. I also know exactly how to get straight down to the point though, so for those who benefit most from that style, we can get straight down to business. Whatever helps you.

My bespoke teaching methodology involves getting to know my student and tailoring my teaching to suit their learning style and personal motivations.
The typical length of my lessons is an hour to two hours long.
I have experience tutoring students in ICT, Biology, Physics and Chemistry. All of whom had made a significant improvement in their grades.
My lessons are aimed at GSCE level, but I do accept lessons with A Level ICT students. Also, I welcome neurodiverse students and can teach techniques to manage and take advantage of ADHD and autism symptoms during study.
