I usually start by going through homework and checking over the topics we have gone through previously. I then introduce a new topic and go through some practice questions on this new topic. And finally, leave the student with some homework to do during the week. - I tailor the lesson and the explanation to the current level of understanding of the student, to ensure the most effective learning process. I do this via drawings, diagrams, analogies and stories to really help material stick in the mind.
