About Alice
My name is Alice and I am a professional linguist and dancer. I graduated from the University of Liverpool in Modern European Languages (French, German and Spanish), going on to gain a qualification in Mandarin with the Chartered Institute of Linguists in 2020. I have since worked as a professional Mandarin-English translator and I'm keen to share what i have learnt as a native English speaker learning Chinese, and meet students who are curious about studying the language, travelling or working in China.

As an English mother tongue speaker, I can help you understand the concept of tones in Mandarin, improve pronunciation with the aim of native-level, and general speaking skills for study, travel or work purposes. I hope to make lessons fun and engaging by teaching through themed cultural lessons such as food in China and Chinese medicine. I am keen to build a student's vocabulary by gapfills, puzzles and listening to songs :)
