About Elizabeth
I have taught and tutored in schools and privately at all three levels - junior high, high school, and college. If you'd like to see actual student reviews of my teaching at the college level, you can see that at the RateMyProfessors website. But I teach younger students too, and I teach less tough courses than Calculus (which is reviewed on that website). I actually prefer the student who is having trouble, because I love making them successful when they haven't experienced that much. By the way I have taught students of all nationalities -- here in the US and also in Europe -- and I have also taught in inner-city schools. Whoever you are, I'll appreciate you and how you think!

I am a tutor of all types of Math for students in high school, junior high, and college. At all these three levels, I have both taught in classrooms, and done one-on-one tutoring and teaching of small groups.
I have two degrees from MIT and a Masters degree in Education from Harvard, but I find that I have learned the most from tutoring real students in real learning situations. Because there are a lot of different ways of understanding math, it is up to the tutor to be able to teach math concepts and practice many different ways. I respect my students and their different ways of thinking.
Tell me what you'd like to accomplish and I can help you make that happen. Want to ace a specific test? Need help with homework? Want assistance all through a course? Want to learn some topic from scratch? I can help you do any of those. My experience includes teaching all the different levels of Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, preCalculus, and Calculus.
