About Federico
I'm deeply passionate about Asian history, and Chinese history in particular. This led me to pursue my studies in this language, first majoring in Oriental Studies in my Master's Degree in Historical Sciences, and then spending six months intensively studying Mandarin in Shenyang, China. Even now that I'm back in Italy, I enjoy staying in touch with China through literature, newspapers, and the personal friendships I've made there. In March, I'll earn my HSK Level 5 certification. Chinese is a magnificent language, with elegant writing, an intriguing sound, and a capacity for expression that immediately amazes those who approach it. Whether it's for job opportunities, media coverage, or travel plans, China is increasingly influential in our lives, and I believe that even just approaching this language can open doors on a whole new world!

Hi! My name is Federico and I'm passionate about the Chinese language, history, and culture. I lived in China for six months, in the beautiful city of Shenyang. I can help you study Chinese between HSK 1 and HSK 3 levels. I can guide you through the very first steps of learning Mandarin (pinyin transcription, character writing, pronunciation, and first sentences) so you can decide if it's the right language for you. Or I can help you review and consolidate existing knowledge, focusing on grammatical structures, vocabulary, and cultural notes. Or I can help you with conversation, tailoring my speaking to your level. In the first (free) lesson, we can discuss a study plan together. Groups are also welcome; learning Chinese together is more fun!
