About Imogen
The jump from school to university is always a shock for many, as I believe the general curriculum does not thoroughly teach independent learning. I have always felt passionate that everyone should be given the tools to go through education confidently and with the understanding that your performance isn't fixed - improvement is always possible and if you can find a new way of learning that suits you better. A mentor figure was essential for me to gain the confidence to get into Oxford and I relish the opportunity to play a part in becoming that mentor for someone else.

Having struggled with confidence at school, I hugely benefited from a mentor figure in my school who helped me find assertiveness both in discussions around literature as well as writing essays. I like to first and foremost discover who are you, your interests, and how we can approach your struggles in a way that best engages you. My tutoring sessions are very much a conversation in order to ensure you come away feeling heard and with a boost of confidence.
I largely focus on ages 8-16, with a typical lesson lasting 60 mins (at times 90 mins if required). I tutored throughout university and for the past couple of years; totalling 5 years' experience.
