About Hamed
I recently got my PhD in mathematics from Georgia Institute of Technology.
I have been teaching mathematics in different levels since the last 13 years, and I believe that there is no single teaching method that works universally for every scenario.
Based on my experiences, I developed different sets of ``to dos" and ``not to dos" for different teaching contexts. I can give several examples in which my principals helped me decide in favor of my students' situation. My three main missions as an instructor are: imparting critical thinking, teaching problem solving abilities, and providing inclusivity in the class.
I have experience in online and in person teaching. I try to teach in a diverse way based on the four learning styles ``Visual, Aural, Read/write, and Kinesthetic"(VARK). I usually try to solve a problem or explain a concept with different perspectives to cover a broader range of students.

As an Instructor of the Record and Head Teaching Assistant, I taught various undergraduate courses, using active-learning pedagogy, including; integral calculus, linear algebra, multivariable calculus, differential equations, and number theory. I coached both individuals and teams for several mathematics competitions such as IMO and IMC.
- I usually use active-learning methods and help students to try solving problems in sessions. I provide a comfortable environment for them to not be afraid of making mistakes.
- I taught high school math, high school olympiad, college math, graduate level math, and mentoring bachelor olympiad teams. There is not any unique ``true" method in learning, and my diverse experience helps me to adopt myself with the method that my students are more comfortable with.
In order to make less pressure for the students, I will teach the first session for free, so you can decide whether you like to continue with me.
