About Disha
Hi! I'm Disha, a 4th year Computer Science student at Western University in London, Ontario. I have been a scholar all throughout my academic career, and I am excited to help you excel in yours! I have experience working with students at Kumon for over 2 years throughout high school. Throughout the years, I helped students with their math homework, and was able to inspire students to feel confident answering questions. I saw students improve within a matter of months, and it was always amazing to see how well students were able to pick up on topics they were initially struggling with. I also have professional experience through several technical internships I have completed over the years. Some of the companies I have worked with are Geotab, Bell Canada, and Guidewire Software. My expertise for programming languages lie mostly in Python, SQL, Java, and HTML/CSS. I have also worked with some AI and ML models throughout my internships, and I love to chat about all things AI whenever I can!

My primary goal is to help you excel in your academic career! I encourage students to push themselves and attempt to provide answers to questions I pose before I simply hand out answers. My core principle is that we learn the most from our mistakes, and mistakes are welcome and encouraged in tutoring sessions! At the beginning, I would assess your current skill level and learn about your current strengths and weaknesses. A lesson plan would then get created based on the areas I gather that require the most attention. Each tutoring session would consist of reviewing homework and tests from school which the student may feel they need some clarification on, as well as reviewing topics relevant to the current unit being taught in school.
