About Daniel
Hello! My name is Daniel. I am a graduate of the school of public policy at the University of California, Riverside, was previously a student at the School of Public Health at the Fielding School of Public Health at the University of California, Los Angeles, and am currently a graduate student at the University of Vermont studying medicine.
As a native English speaker with several noteworthy experiences and achievements, I believe that I can provide you with the support necessary to develop a deeper understanding of the nuances of the English language. I have won multiple local writing competitions, received 5's on both the AP English Language and Composition course as well as the AP English Literature and Composition courses, and scored in the top of my class for all linguistic courses during my undergraduate degree.
In regards to prior tutoring experience, I primarily taught students between the ages of 9-21. The topics covered during my sessions ranged from vocabulary/grammar, homework assignments, public speaking, as well as essay/personal statement assistance. While the majority of my tutoring was previously conducted in an in-person setting, I am currently only taking students via remote learning (Zoom).

As a tutor with a solid foundation in the fundamentals of English and prior tutoring experience, I will tailor your lesson plans to your specific needs and help you address any weakness that you would like to focus on. I am a strong believer that active engagement and participation are much more effective methods for learning English as opposed to simply reading text, which is why I enjoy incorporating student interests to make concepts more engaging and memorable. My lessons are primarily geared towards middle school and high school students, but I am available to teach students of all ages and levels. I hired Daniel to help my son with his English homework and English pronunciation. My son has had a difficult time adjusting to school as English is not his first language so he was very nervous to speak up at school. I found daniel through word of mouth (this was at the height of Covid so everything was online) and I wanted to make sure he was good so I was next to my son’s computer listening to the lesson and I was very happy with how it was going. Daniel still tutors my son through zoom and when he asked I was more than happy to leave a good review. He is not only a great tutor but he is such a kind and gentle soul and is such a good role model. Thank you Daniel for all your help over the last 2 years
daniel was my tutor in high school and he helped me raise my grade in english from a C+ to an A by the end of the semester!! It really relieved a lot of stress because I was so worried it would look bad on my college applications..
