About Danni
I am a current PhD student with a graduate degree and over 7 years of tutoring experience across more than 10 subjects, working with students from K–12 through college and adult learners. This range of experience has allowed me to support students at many different stages of their academic journey, from those building foundational skills to those seeking deeper mastery, stronger academic habits, or greater independence in their learning.
My background includes coursework in educational psychology as well as experience in academic programming and student support, which has shaped an approach that is both academically rigorous and deeply attentive to the human side of learning. I care not only about what students know, but about how they think, how they respond to challenge, and what helps them grow in confidence and clarity. Working across subjects and age groups has shown me that meaningful academic support requires more than expertise in content alone. It also requires patience, strong communication, and the ability to understand the individual learner in front of you.

Rather than a series of weekly hourly sessions, My teaching is designed as a program that does more than help students get through tonight’s homework or study for the next test. I work to understand how each student learns, where things are breaking down, and what will actually help them move forward. For students who need more than quick fixes, that difference matters.
My approach is shaped by my experience in teaching support, student programming, coursework in educational psychology, and five years of experience working across more than 10 subjects with learners from K–12 through college and adulthood. That range has taught me that strong tutoring is not just about knowing content. It is about knowing how to to respond to the learner in front of you.
At the core of my method is a simple idea: students learn best when they feel supported, challenged, and actively involved in the process. I create lessons that are structured enough to provide clarity, but flexible enough to respond to the student in front of me. I want students to feel safe enough to think out loud, make mistakes, ask honest questions, and build confidence without feeling judged or rushed.
A typical lesson begins with a quick check-in. We identify what needs attention, where confusion is showing up, and what the goal of the session is. From there, I move into targeted teaching, guided practice, and a lot of questioning. I do not like to over-lecture. Instead, I ask students to explain their reasoning, test ideas, notice patterns, and reflect on what is making sense. This keeps lessons active and helps students build knowledge that feels like their own, not something handed to them from the outside.
As I teach, I am constantly adjusting. If one explanation does not land, I may shift the language, bring in a visual, reframe the problem, or change the practice format. My sessions have structure, but they are never rigid. The point is not to force a student through material. The point is to find the route that actually helps them learn.
One of the biggest things that sets my program apart is the diagnostic and communication system I have developed. I track not only subject-specific strengths and gaps, but also the thinking processes underneath them. That means I am paying attention to more than whether an answer is right or wrong. I am looking at how students approach a task, where their reasoning breaks down, which mistakes repeat, and what kinds of support lead to real progress. This makes sessions more precise, more responsive, and much more informative for both students and families. This system also allows me to provide personalized progress reports to student and their parents as we travel along this journey together.
I also care deeply about engagement, but not in a superficial way. When I use games or playful structures, it is not just to keep students entertained. It is to build skill, lower anxiety, spark curiosity, and help students experience subjects like math and language as something they can actually make sense of. I connect lessons to real-world systems, use reflection as part of the learning process, and create space for students to notice not just what they are learning, but how they are learning it.
Students should know that my goal is bigger than finishing assignments or raising a grade. I want them to become stronger, more confident, and more independent learners. Over time, I want students to move from asking, “Is this right?” to asking, “Does this make sense?” That shift is where real growth happens, and it is the heart of what I teach.

I've been recommending Danielle for a few years now and I'm happy to recommend her to this online community. She helped my daughter tremendously in overcoming skill gaps and was very inspiring to her. So much so that my daughter became a tutor as a college student after being so positively influenced by Danielle's methods. My daughter gained a lot of confidence while working with Danielle.
Really great experience. I've been spending weeks trying to understand limits and she made the concept clear in under 30 minutes. She will definitely be helping me in the future.
Danni worked with both of our children through their middle school and high school years. She is very patient and she helped transform my youngest into a high-level math student. I was most impressed with her ability to identify my kids line of thinking and work with it instead of against it. I'm very happy to recommend her as she returns to tutoring.
