About Candace
I have a Bachelor's degree in writing and a Master's degree in Education with a concentration in adolescent literacy. I have been tutoring or teaching for over a year. I am an ESL teacher and an editor. I was always a good student. I know that I can help you with confident oral and written communication. It all begins with your approach to understanding and application. I can help you through music, role play, short stories, and activities designed with real-world applications in mind.

I have a student-centered discussion-based teaching method. A typical lesson starts with a fun, open-ended question so I can assess what you already know about the topic. From there, I tailor exercises to listening, speaking, reading, and writing to help you get excited about your learning process and progress. I will always relate the lesson to your daily life activities and goals. I enjoy working with any student, from beginner phonics to advanced essay writing.
