About Andrew
I believe that every student has the potential to fulfil their academic aims and goals, but that some require extra support in order to help them learn most effectively. By offering my personalised approach to tutoring, I hope to assist with demystifying what can often seem like intimidating and overwhelming academic requirements, and to help students who are looking to achieve more a route to success. I have a proven track record of academic achievement and take my responsibilities as an educator seriously, but I am also friendly and approachable and happy to provide support to students who are ready to learn.

I take a personal approach that seeks to build on the student's strengths and work collaboratively on their weaknesses. A typical lesson is 1 hour and can focus on study skills and best practice in assignments, essays, and exams, but I am also very comfortable in assisting with explanations of complex concepts, topics and ideas that have not been reinforced sufficiently in class. I can offer classes remotely or in person.
My qualifications are a first class degree in History and Ancient History from the University of Exeter, and a Masters degree with Distinction in Conflict Resolution in Divided Societies from King's College London. My tutoring is primarily aimed at HSC and undergraduate students in subjects relating to History, Ancient History and International Relations and I have previously tutored A Level History in the UK (aimed at ages 16-18).
