About Amelia
Hi, I'm Amelia!
I know how stressful IB can be, and I genuinely enjoy helping others work through the parts that feel impossible at first. Being so close to the experience myself means I understand exactly what the exams expect, where the tricky marks hide, and how to explain things in a way that actually makes sense, not just textbook definitions.
I'm heading to university to study Engineering in September, but tutoring is something I'm passionate about and take seriously. Every student learns differently, and I'll always find the explanation that works for you specifically.
Whether you're struggling to keep up, pushing for that 6 or 7, or just want someone to work through past papers with, I'd love to help!

My approach to tutoring is built around one core idea: if something isn't clicking, we find a different angle until it does. I don't follow a rigid script — instead, I adapt to how each student thinks, whether that means working through past paper questions, breaking a concept down from scratch, using diagrams, or finding real-world analogies that make abstract ideas stick.
A typical session starts by identifying exactly where the confusion is — not just the topic, but the specific part of it. From there we work through it together, with me explaining and the student applying, until they can tackle similar problems independently. I always leave time at the end to consolidate what we covered.
What sets me apart is that I'm an IB student myself, currently completing the IB Diploma with 7s in Physics HL, Mathematics AA SL, Chemistry SL, English HL, and Business HL. I know exactly what the exams ask for, how the mark schemes think, and where students tend to lose marks — because I've been through it all recently.
My lessons are best suited for IB students (SL or HL) looking for help with Physics, Math AA, Chemistry, or Business, whether they're just keeping up, aiming higher, or cramming before exams.
