About Eleanor
I graduated from the University of Cambridge in 2023 with a first-class degree in History. At Cambridge, we are taught in one-to-one or small-group classes known as supervisions; the philosophy behind these supervisions has led me into my own career in private tuition, believing as I do that classroom learning is only the first step towards really getting to grips with any given subject. I am fully DBS-checked (certificates available upon request) and have many years of experience with primary-age children, including two years of classroom experience with Years 2 and 3, but I am happy to work with students of any age.

My lessons last around an hour, and are designed for students who are working towards SAT, Common Entrance/other school entrance exams, GCSE, A-Level, or Oxford and Cambridge entrance exams. Each student is different, and therefore each of my lessons is different, catered towards the individual student's needs and abilities. Broadly, however, I intend to take my students through the sources and texts they need to know, and help them to learn how to express themselves fluently and compellingly in essay form.
