About Dora
In highschool I was a part of the top ten students in my class, and in college I worked effortlessly with classmates in harder level classes because it made it easier for me to learn the material if I taught it. I am a stubborn person when it comes to teaching because I believe 100% in the students capability in learning and know they need just a little of my help for them to grasp the knowledge of the subject. I bring in fun ways of teaching and learning because I believe that learning should be fun!

Before the lessons starts, I ask the student to send me the information of the book their teacher/professor is using so I can identify whether I know the certain way to show work (Mathematics). For Science, I also ask this because the basics are fundamental in learning how cells, atoms, and elements work at the molecular level. Once I have the information I need, I begin one-on-one lessons with the student, trying to figure out their best way of learning. It took me a while to learn my own way of learning and I understand the frustration a student can have. That is why one-on-one learning is important. I also offer remote classes through zoom, if commuting at the library is an issue. I teach students from 9th-12th as well as college students in their associates or bachelors degree.
