About Dean
I am Dean (25) from Glasgow, Scotland. I just finished studying Maths and Physics at University of Strathclyde.
Currently I am taking a gap year to explore the world before I do my postgraduate to finally reach my dream job as a teacher. I have always had the intention of teaching and a passion for it. I hope to inspire others with my passion who have so much love about my subjects so they can further themselves and reach their full potential.

Maths and physics are by no means easy subjects but they don’t have to be as hard as you might think. One key is to make sure to have the foundation and basics right before moving the next level.
In previous experience of tutoring I’ve had a range of students from top of the class to struggling to pass. My approach to every student is to first find the gaps in their knowledge or their struggle points. I will do this through both asking directly what they feel they struggle on and indirectly by asking more varied questions to see if there’s more of a trend on certain aspects as a whole.
From this we will develop a plan going forward on how we will get to the desired comfort level with the subject. Pupil and guardian can have input in this too.
Through time spent I’ll walk through students through how I’m trying to teach them and see what methods work best for them and will also help them understand this to be stronger individually going forward.
