About Paul
What makes me different as a tutor is the combination of my Mathematics teaching experience and ESL teaching experience. I have 9 years of experience teaching Mathematics in a classroom setting and 5 years of experience teaching ESL, allowing me to work with learners from different backgrounds and ability levels.
I am patient, approachable, and committed to creating a learning environment where students feel comfortable making mistakes and asking questions. I believe that mistakes are an important part of learning.
My goal is not only to help students improve their grades or English skills but also to build their confidence, critical thinking, communication skills, and independence as learners.

My teaching approach is student-centered, interactive, and personalized. I believe that every learner has a different pace, learning style, and level of confidence, so I adjust my teaching strategies according to each student’s needs.
For Mathematics, I focus on making difficult concepts simple and understandable by using step-by-step explanations, real-life examples, visual aids, guided practice, and problem-solving activities. I do not simply teach students how to get the correct answer—I help them understand the process and develop the confidence to solve problems independently.
For ESL, I use a communicative approach that encourages students to speak, listen, read, and express themselves naturally. I use conversations, vocabulary activities, pronunciation practice, role-playing, questions, and real-life situations to make lessons practical and engaging.
