About Sophie
I'm Sophie and whilst also a massive nerd, I love hiking, lacrosse and recently getting into american Football. At work, I lead a data science and data engineering team but I want to continue my passions for teaching maths and science.
I always loved maths and physics, helping out at my dads mechanics in the evening and learning the maths behind how it worked in the day. I continued this passion to Imperial College to study Mechanical Engineering. From there I worked for Rolls Royce designing Jet Engines and the MOD working on Submarines.

I believe in keeping tutoring personal and interactive. Math and physics are my passions, and the journey they've taken me on career-wise has been a real adventure. I'm not just here to teach the basics—I want to show how it all plays out in the real world and make theory come alive.
I'm keeping my student roster small, around 2-3 individuals. This way, I can really tailor things to each person, move at their pace, and make sure we're all on the same page.
With over 5 years of tutoring and coaching under my belt, I'm blending in some insights from sports coaching to make our time together super effective and enjoyable. Let's dive into learning together and make it a genuine, worthwhile experience!
