About Cassie
I have a passion for Mathematics and enjoy teaching, helping, and inspiring others through assisting others understanding it. Math touches us every day no matter what our lives are like. In school, a job, or even just going shopping for a new video game. Math also teaches strategy, problem solving, and complex thinking. For these reasons I believe it's important to grasp the concepts completely and I enjoy the look on my students face when it finally clicks.
With 9 years experience under my belt I’ve had many different students with a wide age range. I’ve tutored adult students who haven’t been in the classroom for years that need refreshers. I’ve tutored typical college age students in high level mathematics classes. I’ve also have had Middle School and High School students. With a wide age range comes a lot of different learning styles and needs. Which has given me the skills to explain and adapt to different learning styles.
I have a BA in Mathematics from California University of Pennsylvania with a minor in Chemistry and Statistics. I have a firm understanding and a skill to tutor in a wide range of Mathematics topics such as Middle School Math, Algebra, Geometry, Algebra II, Trigonometry, Calculus, College Algebra, College level Calculus, Statistics, Linear Algebra, and Abstract Algebra. I also have experience tutoring high school physics and chemistry as well as tests such as SAT’s (math portion) and Math Praxis for teacher certification.

My approach is to teach to the student and to their individual strengths. Everyone learns differently and understands concepts differently. So I never teach the same way to every person. I am able to pick up on each individual persons learning style and see where there understanding is to build from where they are. I meet them where there understanding is and build from there knowledge. My goal is to not only teach the subject but help them learn how they learn the subject so they can hopefully do better in the future without the extra help.
