About Sofia
Hey There,
I am Sofia, I have been tutoring for the last 10 years. I became a tutor at different tutoring centres for GCSE students when I was doing my A-levels, I have thoroughly enjoyed teaching students and always held onto it in some capacities.
I have been at university for the last 10 years - getting 3 different degrees. I have got a Neuroscience Degree from King's College London and a masters in Clinical Neuroscience from King's College London. I am currently a final (6th) year Medical Student. I have also published a systematic review to aid the NHS long term plan in stopping smoking.
I currently also work at a Russell group university - therefore any questions about university - feel free to ask.

I am passionate about teaching Science related subjects especially biology and chemistry, helping students understand processes and mechanisms.
For University students -
If you would like help with something specific - e.g. Recombination and Positional Cloning for Genetics or Tumour suppressors such as p53 and RB pathway for Molecular Biology, please ask and we can cover those in depth.
For GCSE students or A-level students.
I will cover the topics you ask me to.
After helping you understand the concepts, I usually ask students to explain it back to me to comprehend their understanding. I am amazing with exam preparation as I will take you through the EXACT key wording examiners are after depending on the exam board you are sitting exams for. I will go through different flash cards, and different exam questions until all answers have been embedded.
I like to make teaching fun and therefore, I like to explain with presentations, videos, whiteboard, visual aids, real examples.
Also, as I currently also work at a Russell group university. I love helping my students and usually go the extra mile by helping them with college/uni applications, reading through personal statements and helping them customise.
