When I studied math in high school I hated it. Not because it was hard, no I was actually really good at high school math, nut rather because the teachers never told us why we use it. In college, the first quarter I learned how all the algebra formulas relate, why we say x squares, and was given the reasons for using every single step. This made me so excited and fell in love with college math because I finally had a reason.
