About Freek
Already in the second year of my studies, teaching started to
to fascinate. To pass on the knowledge you have received
to give. To help students see where a
challenge and how it can be addressed.
I now have more than 20 years of experience in teaching, from beginner to pre-conservatory, classical and jazz.

I've been playing the trombone since before I was a teenager.
I am a passionate trombonist, experienced qualified teacher, and conductor, and I love nothing more than to share my musical passion with you.
Beginners and advanced
Whether you are a beginner or an experienced trombonist or trumpeter, I offer you the right exercises and support in the back to get started.
Tailor-made trombone lesson
With the right exercises and instructions that help you further, you will notice your progress immediately! You feel freer and more secure in your band, orchestra or when you play a solo. Your height and breathing technique will improve and you will learn to play clean and tight!
What do we do in class?
In class we will of course work with what you want to learn!
You choose the style of music you want to learn: Jazz, Funk, Big Band, Pop, or Classical.
I pay attention to correct breathing technique, sound and posture.
You work on embouchure and airflow while playing your favorite music! You learn to read notes and play tricky rhythms and basic music theory.
I tailor-make exercises for technical challenges that you may encounter.
I teach in my studio in the Hoeksche Waard, but I also teach at home in consultation in The Hague, Delft and Rotterdam and I give clinics through webcam as well.
