About Jackie
Hi, I'm Jackie! I'm currently studying while working as a diploma student in Republic Polytechnic! A year 2 student taking the diploma in Biomedical Science! I used to teach less fortunate students for a year as a volunteer under TYA (Touch Young Arrows) in English and math. To me, I'm really into science and you could have guessed it already :) Why do I want to teach? A part of me wants to give back to the society more as I took a break from volunteering. The other part is to guide students to excel in their studies and be confident in life as well! I would also want to learn from the students as well! Teaching to me is a give and take kind of job and knowledge is for us to share with others.

I did teach basic math and English before for a year as a voluntary student but I'm more into teaching science! I haven't really taught a student in general sciences before but I do have the knowledge to teach lower primary students (aka pri 1-3). As for lessons, I don't usually want a long lecture with a student but 1-2 hours would be good enough. Basically, I'll teach according to MOE standards and guide the student from there with my own knowledge as well. As for the student, I really appreciate it if they're willing to learn and vice versa as well!
