About Saif
I love mathematics and problem-solving. I remember the thrill of breezing through concepts in class and the satisfaction of tackling each problem with confidence rather than frustration. Unfortunately, my high-school math teacher doubted my potential and urged me to drop to the lower level to protect their pass rates. Refusing to be defined by someone else’s bias, I set out to teach myself and rediscover my passion for math from the ground up. Now, I want to help you excel too—but more than that, I’ll answer the question every student asks: “Why does this matter?” You’ll learn not only how to solve each problem, but also where these techniques apply in the real world. By combining clear, step-by-step explanations with purposeful practice, you’ll gain a deep, lasting understanding of the concepts, perform confidently on assessments, and appreciate the true utility of mathematics.

I tutor online by giving students exam-style questions on topics they find engaging before each class. The questions vary in difficulty, and I place strong emphasis on solution techniques and critical thinking. If a student needs a firmer grasp of the theory before diving into practice, I shift to clear, concept-based explanations. This approach challenges students to wrestle with problems rather than simply absorbing information, and I pay close attention to how they interpret and tackle each question. It’s especially effective for HL maths students—where novel techniques abound—because exposure to a wide array of challenges is pivotal for success. For SL students, I use more standard, repetitive exercises to reinforce fundamental concepts.
