Graduated from SDSU with degrees in Physics and Math. I have tutored college level physics since 2021. I can teach any math or physics up to college level calculus and physics II.

About Jax
I have tutored students in physics since the Spring of 2021 when I was in my second semester of college. I have learned a lot about how to address the struggles that students come across in their journey to learning physics and math. Students would always choose to come back to my lessons so they must have gotten what they were looking for out of our meetings. There have been times when I did not know exactly how to help a student during our lesson, but after the lesson I would always work extra hard to figure out the problem, or I would reach out to someone else for help. I will never pretend to know more than what I do know, and I will always find a way to figure out a problem when we encounter a gap in my knowledge.

I find that physics and/or math is best learnt through guided practice with instant feedback. I prefer to lecture on subject material and then provide some practice problems to reinforce what was just taught. Learning physics or math is very different than learning other sciences. Rote memorization or reading/rereading notes is not effective. It is best to the learn the material through attempting practice problems and being told right away whether you are right or wrong so that your mistakes can be understood and corrected.
