Learn English with Confidence with Miss Helani
Hello! I’m Miss Helani, an experienced English teacher with over 10 years of teaching experience in Sri Lanka and the United Kingdom.
I hold a **BA in English Language Teaching** and a **Master’s degree in Educational Leadership from the UK**. I have experience working with children across different age groups and abilities, including students who need additional support with reading, phonics and learning difficulties.
My lessons are **friendly, engaging and personalized** to suit each learner’s needs. I specialize in **English, phonics, reading, spelling, speaking, listening and writing**, while helping children develop confidence in using English in everyday situations.
I believe that children learn best when they feel comfortable, encouraged and supported. My goal is not only to improve English skills, but also to help every student become a confident and enthusiastic learner
I currently offer **online lessons for students in New Zealand and internationally**. Lessons can be adapted to suit the student’s age, level, learning goals and school curriculum.
