About Camille Valino
Hello! My name is Camille Sandoval and I am a graduated Media and Communications major from the University of Washington. In addition to being a continued Dean's List honoree, I am also projected to have Cum Laude honors at the end of my collegiate career. I have a background in tutoring math & reading at Kumon, as well as three years of teaching swim lessons to a range of ages and individuals (adult lessons included) in groups and one-on-one sessions.
As a first-generation individual (my parents came here from the Philippines), I have been working since the age of 14 in a variety of jobs. This means that I have worked with and for a multitude of individuals, and more importantly that I understand the value of time and hold great respect for those who chose to spend it growing (academically, mentally, personally).
I found a love for writing in high school at Lakeside School, one of the top independent high schools in Washington, and decided to continue my education of the subject in my collegiate career. I have interned at Evergreens Salads, Voodle, and Web3maze in marketing roles where I have utilized my communication skills to gain positive traction for the companies.
I am ambitious and strive to hold myself to my best standards without compromising compassion for myself or those around me. With me, we'll strive for your goals together with excitement :)

With a background in tutoring math and reading, as well as years of teaching swim lessons to a diverse range of students (from 6 months to 34 years old) , I am very comfortable in a teaching position! I am often just as ambitious as you are in reaching our communicated goals, and am not afraid to push you to your best work.
As a foundation for my teaching, I like to discuss with students what their goals are for our lessons. This gives us a mutual goal to work toward together! And having our lessons be more conversational not only helps me understand my students better, but allows me to better cater the lesson plans to what each student needs. I am often excited to exercise my own creativity at these steps!
A typical lesson would
- start with a conversation of what the student is looking for.
- dive into the student's work; reading over their written material, conversing to practice English, etc.
- have discussion of the student's learning languages (ex. visual learner, verbal learner, auditory learner, etc.)
- include practice exercises (writing, conversation, presentation assembly, etc.)
- conclude with summarized lesson accomplishments and working points for next lesson!
