About Damla
Hello,
I am a person with dyslexia. My student years were quite challenging because I learned differently from everyone else. Despite that, I graduated with honors from two engineering degrees.
I truly believe that every brain is different and uniquely special. When we find the right learning path, all subjects can become enjoyable and manageable. I also believe that learning is one of the most beautiful activities in life.
It doesn’t matter which subject you are struggling with. Just believe in yourself and put in the effort, the rest will be amazing.
And if you choose me as your teacher, I would be truly happy and honored to be part of your learning journey.

Hey There!
I am a Mechanical Engineer and Naval Architect with a double major, graduated with honors. I have worked as an engineer at companies such as Mercedes-Benz and Ford Motor Company and some shipyards. I am currently taking a break from full-time corporate life and would like to dedicate my time to teaching mathematics to primary and intermediate students.
I worked as a teacher in my home country for seven years, both professionally and on a voluntary basis. As someone with dyslexia, I have invested significant time in researching and developing alternative learning methods. This has given me a deep understanding of different learning styles and how to make complex concepts more accessible. Helping children enjoy and truly understand mathematics is something I find incredibly meaningful and fulfilling.
In summary:
-I offer lessons in mathematics, geometry, and trigonometry.
-I work with primary and intermediate students.
-Lessons can be held online, or if the student is based in Wellington, they can take place at the student’s home or the teacher’s home.
-The typical length of a lesson is 1.5 hours, or longer depending on the student’s needs.
