About Preshecca
Hi! I'm Preshecca, a Biomedical Science major graduating in Fall 2024 and starting medical school at NEOMED in July 2025. I'm also an Organic Chemistry and Physics lecture teaching assistant at the college level, and a former math tutor. I also have experience in conducting research projects in clinical research and biostatistics. Something that sets me apart as a tutor is my focus on going beyond typical lecture-style lessons. I think practice, participation, and application are key to truly understanding difficult concepts in STEM. My lesson plans incorporate this idea through emphasizing process over answer, applying concepts to the real world and standardized test/MCAT prep, focusing on transferable skills, and explaining concepts in an easy-to-understand way. My lessons are targeted towards a range of students in college and high school, including Pre-Health students and anyone who is planning on taking the MCAT in the future.
