About Riley
I hold a bachelor’s degree in music and have been teaching guitar for over 5 years, working with students of all ages and skill levels. My journey with the guitar began more than a decade ago, and it quickly evolved from a hobby into a deep passion for performing, composing, and sharing music with others through teaching. Throughout my teaching career, I’ve helped students build strong foundations in technique, understand music theory in practical ways, and develop their unique sound. Whether it’s guiding a beginner through their first chords or helping an advanced player master fingerstyle or improvisation, I focus on creating a supportive and inspiring learning environment. My teaching style blends structure with creativity—I emphasize technical growth while encouraging students to explore their musical interests and voice. I believe in making lessons engaging and relevant, using real songs and performance-based goals to keep students motivated and connected to their progress. What I love most about teaching is watching students transform—gaining confidence, unlocking new skills, and discovering joy in their playing. Guitar is not just an instrument to me; it's a lifelong companion, and I’m dedicated to helping my students experience that same connection.
